Make Your Own Orgone Cones

Directions for Construction of the Orgone Cones (approximate cost of supplies: $45 to make 3-4 cones)

Supplies needed:

• funnel
• resin
• rubber gloves
• can or jar
• crystal point
• metal flakes
• wax or candle

Since you will be working with resin, make sure that you work in an area with proper ventilation and take care to line any table or area you are working on with newspaper in case of spills.

Take your plastic funnel and saw off the spout. The funnel will allow you to make several from this mold. The plastic funnel needs to be big enough to make a 4" high cone. The bigger the cone, the more powerful the ORGONE CONE. Experiment with different configurations.

Set the funnel, point down, in a can or jar. Put the better defined end of the double terminated crystal toward the point of the cone. Once the crystal point down is securely placed in the opening of the funnel, pour heated wax around the base to seal the crystal. Put in some water to test that it is properly sealed. You may need to wrap the funnel tip with masking tape to keep the wax from leaking out.

Add equal measure of aluminum particles (or any metal) and mix with the resin. You can use aluminum from the crosscut saws in shops that use extruded aluminum a lot, such as large sign shops, fabrication plants, etc. Larger towns and cities have recycling businesses that have the aluminum particles in large bins, which they sell cheaply. While any metal will work, we have found that the metal itself will add a different vibrational property. So if you are interested in "suping up" your orgonite, then try copper or even gold flakes. Copper has a strong transformational effect and can be used for really heavy jobs, while gold will be more smooth in its effect. Combining all three has proven to be the most effective and led to the creation of the Tri-Metal cones on our site.

You can use either polyester resin or epoxy resin. More environmentally friendly resin is available from Envirotech, at www.eti.com. Pour some resin on top of that and let it soak down through the metal particles. Put enough aluminum particles or metal particles to cover the rest of the vertical crystal and pour enough resin in to cover that.

At this point, make the funnel level, either visually or with a spirit level (the ruler with the bubble thing built into it). You don't need to get it as level as possible. Never fill it to the edge of the funnel, since this makes it harder to finish off and is pretty messy.

Take the now-usable but crude pyramid out of the funnel now and file the material at the little end down to create a point on the cone. You can use a rough belt on a belt sander for this, but feel free to do it the hard way. You can file the edges of the bottom a little if you don't want to cut yourself with it later.
